About the Club
El Paseo del Rio Penny Farthing Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting cycling, supporting community health, and serving as stewards of the environment.
Founded in March 2026 by three community-minded individuals, the organization was created to combine a passion for historic cycling, public service, and environmental responsibility into meaningful events and initiatives throughout the Borderland region.
From penny farthing races and bicycle chases benefiting local charities to environmental cleanup efforts and international polo matches, the organization exists to help create a cleaner, healthier, and happier community.

Ride With Purpose
As a nonprofit organization, El Paseo del Rio Penny Farthing Club exists to promote cycling and community health while serving as stewards to the environment.
Our vision is simple:
To contribute to a cleaner, healthier, and happier community.
Because penny farthing bicycles put smiles on people’s faces and if they can also help feed the hungry and bring communities together, then let us go ride a bike.
A Legacy on Two Wheels
The history of the penny farthing bicycle traces back centuries through innovation, engineering, and human-powered transportation.
From the early “Draisine” of 1817 to the iconic high-wheel “ordinary” bicycles of the late 1800s, these machines became symbols of freedom, exploration, and endurance.
Today, the penny farthing continues to inspire fascination and community through historic cycling events around the world.
Beyond cycling, the organization is committed to:
